The least obvious choice on our list. A few meters from the Colosseum, the Arch offers a more intimate, symmetrical stage — perfect for editorial portraits.
When to shoot
Late morning (9:30–11:00) with frontal sun, or summer sunset (7:00–7:30pm) for golden backlit. After sunset, the streetlamps offer an interesting warm light.
The experience
The Arch of Constantine is for clients who want the Colosseum in the photos without the Colosseum in their shots. The arch's symmetry creates a natural frame for the dress; with the sun low behind, the backlit fabric flies and traces golden outlines. It's also the ideal starting point to extend the session to the Roman Forum, just 50 meters away.
